- Checks news wires, newspapers and company Web sites, to gather and monitor information, and write articles about industries and companies SNL covers.
- Writes news briefs based on newspaper stories, press releases and filings.Completes other assignments or projects as assigned. |
| Required Skills: |
Experience None required. Any experience compiling information and materials from a variety of sources to produce a product within strict deadlines a plus, as is familiarity with SNL's writing style and products.
Specific Skills News writers should know how to use word-processing software and have a decent grasp of grammar and writing rules. Candidates for the position will be required to take a writing test. |
